Hotel Books Hotel Books - Your Voice

Just because someone understands your pain
It does not mean that they actually care
Just because a loved one will stand in your way
It doesn't mean they're emotionally aware

What you'll see as you grow
Might change who you say your friends are
However much you show, your love will never leave your heart
And your voice is a lullaby
And you'll fall if you're afraid of heights

I couldn't hold on forever
But you caught my eye
What we've seen together
At least I tried, at least I tried

It's easy to hide behind being overwhelmed when you feel like you're constantly a burden
But you don't just want to be a persona, you also need to be a person
And now you're realizing that your serotonin is completely depleted
And you're just praying that you'll make it to the next weekend

And your voice is a lullaby
And you'll fall if you're afraid of heights

If your so-called revolution excludes the oppressed
It's not a radical or revolutionary movement at all
Being fixated on the past and dissecting it can sometimes create an enemy that never existed
And to be fair, once you dissect something, that means it is already dead

What you'll see as you grow
Might change who you say your friends are
However much you show, your love will never leave your heart

And your voice is a lullaby
And you'll fall if you're afraid of heights
